Sprout differentiates itself from its competition through our knowledge in the areas of sustainable design and inclusive design and through our mutli-disciplinary approach. It is our aim to add value to raw materials and design innovative products that maximise the size of the market and bring all the business benefits of sustainable design.

The founding directors of the company were product designers Guy Robinson and Robert Brown who won a Creative Pioneer Award from Nesta in 2004. We are able to think about design from all three of the perspectives below at the same time. It is this which allows us to come up with innovative new responsibly designed products. Guy bought Sprout in 2009 when Rob departed to travel in South America. Guy has been able to maintain and strengthen Sprout's ability to deliver great work and employs talented designers on a project basis.
